[when optimus comes to twitch's room, where he knows she'll be spending time with hashtag, it is not immediately after megatron performed his disappearing act. he waited around outside the empty cell for the full period he'd been allowed visitation rights, then went to the space bridge room to investigate. hashtag was only gone for a few hours, and he doesn't see any merit in alarming and upsetting them if things are going to go back to whatever they can consider normal within a few hours.

it's around two day cycles or so after the initial disappearance, the general limit for people being spat out the bridge if anything happened to them, too, that he finally caps it off with a message into the emergency decepticon frequency, should megatron be present but off the ship somehow. the frequency isn't something he would ever dip into otherwise, but he thinks megatron would understand his reasoning for cracking that unspoken barrier in this instance.

and so, unsurprised that this has fallen to him - and missing megatron slightly more, because if one of them is going to be the constant bad news bearer then they need someone like megatron around to have fun with - optimus knocks on twitch's room door.]

[Twitch is a little surprised by the knock at her door, but it doesn't startle her. She quickly finds a stopping point in her project with Hashtag and got up to answer the door.

Her face lit up when she saw who was on the other side.]

Optimus!

[She flits up to wrap her arms around his neck. She's lost track of how long since she had seen him. It was hard to tell sometime on this ship and the place was so big and Optimus was often off doing Optimus things and not to mention the project that she and Hashtag and been knee deep in for the last couple of days.]

Come see what we're doing!

[She grabs his hand and tugs him into the room.]

Ah... [he puts a finger on her back when she hugs him, size difference too big to really properly return the gesture. there's no way twitch won't be able to feel the warm from him-- even with a difficult thing to tell them it doesn't stop him enjoying their company.

[She gleefully tugs him into a room and carefully clears a spot for him to sit down. There is a screen. Big for Twitch but probably still a bit small for Optimus that is propped up for Twitch and Hashtag to watch, the screen currently paused. There are an array of items strewn around and Twitch cheerfully hits a button once they are settled and starts the rough home-video from where it is paused.]

We're still working on editing, and we still need to film some scenes, but it's gonna be so epic when it's done!

[Hashtag had been focused on the screen and the program they have pulled up to go through and cut the parts and add some special effects. She does turn when Twitch pulls Emoji in and gives a big wave.]

The practical effects came out great on this scene, but we gotta add in the digital ones. You should have seen Twitch, she's awesome with a camera!

[optimus watches the screen, despite everything, he's still genuinely interested in their hobbies and how the editing process works. how lovely they have something they can work on together like this!]

Are you both going to be working on the digital effects, too?

We made so many props! [Twitch is barely able to keep her energy, the fact that she's still in her seat is somewhat of a awe-inspiring action] Some of them didn't work very well though.

[She waves her hand dismissively.] The digital stuff is way more Hashtag's thing. She's really good at it!
