[Twitch starts slightly, but is grinning at hearing her sister's voice.]

Rainbows? Okay!

[She is quiet for a moment.] Do you think he sleeps. He has, like, eyes in the back of his head or something. This isn't going to be easy.

[She says this all with an excited determination. She begins to pace thoughtfully, tapping her chin in the process because that's what you do when you're thinking really hard.]

[ Rung travels down the halls looking at his datapad making sure he's down the right pathways. Its a little unorthodox but the Terrans are barely out aged being Protoforms and he thinks its fine to step in to be more personable.

The young need the extra attention. Rung is willing to go out of his way to be that paternal care, after all they had parents back home. While he's certain her Optimus and Megatron are up to bat.... they can't do everything.

So with a nicely wrapped gift in hand of a suspiciously cow shaped package, Rung taps on her hab suite door. ]

Twitch, good morning. Or Evening, its quite hard to tell sometimes. I was hoping you had alittle time to spare... if you're in of course... oh goodness am I talking to an empty door...

[Twitch hadn't left her room in the past day since talking with Anemone. She didn't really want to talk or see anybody, she just wanted to sit and be sad.

Rung wasn't really an exception, but hearing his voice at the door just had Twitch unable to really ignore him and after a few moments long enough to seem like no one was home she called out.]

[She pulled the blanket over her head, covering herself and her pillow completely.]

[When the call is accepted, it is immediately filled with the busy sounds of a crowded, echoey room. Above it all, Megatron's voice cones through clearly]

"Twitch, this is Megatron. I have recently come through the space bridge. I do apologize for not contacting you before now, but I wish to make up for it now. I did not see you at the recent party held by Sparkarrow, and wanted to seek you out."

Twitch lights up a little when she hears a familiar voice. There are so few people she knows here, it's always an extra layer of comfort to have someone she does.

"Megatron! You're here! I'm in my room! But I can come find you! Or you can find me! Where are you?"

[When Twitch answers, it's with excitement and relief so overwhelming, it hurt.]

HASHTAG!!! You're back! Where did you go? Where are you? What happened?

[She flitted up into the air, feeling wild with emotion and not sure where to expend it as she spoke into the communicator.]

[Twitch doesn't answer at first. Doesn't know how to answer. She knows what the answer is, but everything is a flurry inside her.]

[This audio arrives two days after movie night, after Megatron has spoken with Optimus Prime where he himself has been contained in the brig, and after the wifi is back up]

[He turns away slightly from Antlers across the room, mouth pressed into a thin line]

Twitch. I am... I apologize for what has happened. What I have done. I cannot possibly imagine what you and your sister are thinking right now.

[He goes silent for several long seconds]

I hope you are safe. And I hope you know that this will not happen again.

[Twitch receives the audio and has to stop it a second before starting it over.

What is she thinking? She doesn't even know. Things keep happening and her feelings over each situation keeps changing. She just knows she's tired. She thinks she's mad at Megatron, but she isn't sure she is mad enough to express it.

She takes a long time before she figures out how to reply.]

Do you promise?

[Maybe it's mean. Because she knows he can't.]

[when optimus comes to twitch's room, where he knows she'll be spending time with hashtag, it is not immediately after megatron performed his disappearing act. he waited around outside the empty cell for the full period he'd been allowed visitation rights, then went to the space bridge room to investigate. hashtag was only gone for a few hours, and he doesn't see any merit in alarming and upsetting them if things are going to go back to whatever they can consider normal within a few hours.

it's around two day cycles or so after the initial disappearance, the general limit for people being spat out the bridge if anything happened to them, too, that he finally caps it off with a message into the emergency decepticon frequency, should megatron be present but off the ship somehow. the frequency isn't something he would ever dip into otherwise, but he thinks megatron would understand his reasoning for cracking that unspoken barrier in this instance.

and so, unsurprised that this has fallen to him - and missing megatron slightly more, because if one of them is going to be the constant bad news bearer then they need someone like megatron around to have fun with - optimus knocks on twitch's room door.]

[Twitch is a little surprised by the knock at her door, but it doesn't startle her. She quickly finds a stopping point in her project with Hashtag and got up to answer the door.

Her face lit up when she saw who was on the other side.]

Optimus!

[She flits up to wrap her arms around his neck. She's lost track of how long since she had seen him. It was hard to tell sometime on this ship and the place was so big and Optimus was often off doing Optimus things and not to mention the project that she and Hashtag and been knee deep in for the last couple of days.]

Come see what we're doing!

[She grabs his hand and tugs him into the room.]

[as much as he's been trying to stick around where twitch might want to have his presence affirmed, there's inevitably times when he won't be able to stay in her direct line of sight. this has been one such time, but he decides to drop her a message after half a day cycle anyway.]

[There is always a relief when Optimus, or Hashtag or Megatron, messaged her. Especially with recent events. She answered all too quickly, nearly hanging up on him by accident.]

[ Recently Bass requested some important information. Who... is the strongest Cybertronian on this ship. He received a hot tip that it was 'Shockwave' but also 'not the Senator one'. There were a few thoughts that went through his processor. One... it was really dumb that there were two people here with the SAME NAME. It must get confusing! Two, while he does (surprisingly) know what a Senator is, he has no idea what a Senator looks like. Do they wear signs? Bass guesses probably not.

This leads him to one conclusion: He has to fight BOTH of them to make sure he's actually fighting the strong one.

This leads him to a second conclusion: He has no idea where Shockwave lives. He could ask for direction, ask if anyone knows... but that begs the question... If they know how strong Bass is will they even tell the truth?

There is now one solution: He has to canvas the ship himself and check every inhabited room he comes across.

So there's the backstory. And that's why Bass, armored up in his winged Treble armor (being able to fly covers ground quicker!) is pounding aggressively at your door.

[Despite going on a whole mission together and having a close mutual friend, Twitch and Donnie didn't talk much, so it was a little surprising to get a message from him. Even so, she smiled when she heard his voice, just a little... There was a little spike at the end with the mention of Annie, but she wasn't going to worry about that right now.]

Oh! Hey Donnie! Thanks for reaching out. Don't worry about not doing it sooner.

[She was cool right? She was sounding cool? Cool and casual. She was quiet for a moment.]

[There is a wave of emotion when Twitch receives the message. First is joy, then anger, then anxiety until it all muddles up like one big terrible tasting soup. She stares at the message, trying to figure out how to reply, how she feels. She starts a message, then erases it, then tries again before changing her mind once more. Finally, she settled on keeping it simple.]

When Twitch next returned to her room, Megatron was waiting for her. He hadn't sent her a message asking for her to meet him there because he honestly thought he could use the opportunity to think.

He stood beside the door with his hands clasped behind his back in what was unconsciously parade ground rest, optics dim as he circled around a few pertinent trains of thought.

He looked up when he spotted movement, optics heightening again. "Hemmin, Twitch." He spoke in a calm, level voice as he nodded at her, though he did not smile. "Are y'occupied at the moment? I wanted to speak with you."

For the last week or so, Twitch hadn't been as energetic as she usually was. Her fight with Anemone continued to weigh on her. After her breakdown and talk with Optimus and a little bit of time, she had worked past being angry. Well, that wasn't right, she was still angry, but more in a numb way now.

At least the R2 was big enough to avoid Annie pretty easily.

Megatron on the other hand. She felt a little guilty about that one. She knew she should talk to him. She wanted to. But he was just... too close to it all and part of her was scared. Twitch didn't like to think about it too much.

That being said, seeing Megatron standing outside her room sent a pit to her core.

"Oh, hi Megatron...I'm.... not busy." She gives him a smile but it's a bit forced.

A muffled giggle can be heard from inside the box.

Twitch almost misses the box at first. She goes zipping past to her destination, as always, determined to get there as fast as possible, but the sign catches her attention enough that she stops and backs up to read it. She shifts back into her root mode, but continues to hover.

"Any question?" she asks, muttering to herself as she places her feet back on the ground. "We'll see about that."

Stepping forward, the young bot bends down and knocks on the top of the box. "Hey box! Which issue did Laserbeak get lost in?"

[she is trying her best to not think about that bit in Philly. She barely knew Brawl, but she still felt it. Still saw how it affected everyone else, especially Bee.]

If Twitch was being honest, she didn't really want to call Optimus back. She appreciated the update but she dreaded what Optimus would want to talk to her about. She was certain it was just going to be more lecturing about how she shouldn't have gone off on her own and brought an adult or at least told somebody or--

the only good child is--

She is hitting send on Optimus' contact before she actually registers what she's doing and by then it's far too late.
